RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

Free Returns

Diesel & Auto Electric is committed to ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.

Return Policy

  • Return Period: Products must be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase or delivery.
  • Cost: Returns are free for products purchased online or in-store, with no restocking fee and free return shipping.
  • Condition: Parts must be returned in their original packaging and in new or like new condition to qualify for a refund. Parts cannot be returned if installation has been attempted, the packaging is damaged beyond resale or the parts are damaged in any way.
  • Used Cores: Eligible used cores must be returned in the box that contained the new product (see Returning a Used Core section below).
  • Damaged or Defective Items: Return any eligible item received in damaged or defective condition.
  • Errors: Return any eligible item received in error.
  • Shipping: Parts shipped to home must be returned to the warehouse from which they were ordered.
  • Refund Processing: Refunds are processed within two to five business days by the original method of payment.
  • Exclusions: Labour costs, service charges, and other consumer-incurred expenses are not reimbursed.

Exchanges

  • Procedure: Exchanges are handled in the same manner as product returns. To exchange a product, bring it to the original Diesel & Auto Electric store of purchase within 30 days, in its original condition and packaging, along with the original purchase receipt.
  • Eligibility: Only products purchased at a Diesel & Auto Electric store can be exchanged. All other purchases are eligible for refunds where applicable.

Shipping Fees

Shipping fees for the initial transaction are non-refundable.

Exceptions and Exclusions

The following are exceptions and exclusions to our return policy:

  1. Returns, exchanges, or warranties on an item without your original purchase receipt will not be accepted.
  2. Defective items are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty.
  3. Special application automotive parts, including tuning, performance enhancement, custom-made products, and/or products cut to length or modified, are non-returnable.
  4. Giveaway items have no warranties, returns, or refunds.
  5. Gift cards are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  6. Automotive parts that have been installed are non-returnable. For safety reasons, parts sealed in plastic bags will not be accepted if the seal or bag has been opened.
  7. Tinted paint and stain products, chemicals, oils, grease, and lubricants cannot be returned or refunded.
  8. Electrical test equipment (scan tools) are non-returnable and non-refundable.
  9. Personal safety products (respiratory protection, ear protection, fall protection, coveralls, first aid kits) cannot be returned or refunded.
  10. Clearance or final sale merchandise cannot be returned and are not eligible for refunds.

Used Core Returns

What is a Core? When a vehicle is repaired, the replaced old part is called a used core. Certain types of auto parts can be recycled or remanufactured. These parts have a core price used as a deposit to encourage the return of the old part. Returning cores can save you money on replacement parts.

What is a Core Deposit? The core charge, also known as a "core deposit," is an additional charge you pay until you return your old part. If you do not have the core at the time of purchase, you must pay the core charge. This charge is refunded when you return the core.

How Do I Return a Used Core? The process of returning a core is the same as for a regular part. The core must be returned in the same manner it was purchased (in-store or by return shipping) and packed in the box that contained the new part purchased from Diesel & Auto Electric.

  • In-Store Purchases: If you paid a core charge for an item purchased from Diesel & Auto Electric, you are eligible for core credit upon return of the old core unit. Used cores can be returned at any time provided that the replacement parts were purchased at Diesel & Auto Electric. A used core must be returned in the box received with the new product, along with the original purchase receipt.

Cancellations

How Do I Cancel an Order? Cancellation opportunities are limited as orders are forwarded to the warehouse immediately after confirmation.
